This award ceremony is more than just a night of professional awards; it is an opportunity to come together to honor and celebrate top nurses in Michigan.

This year’s ceremony is set to be celebrated on May 7, 2025 during National Nurses Week on the Oakland University campus in Rochester Hills, Mich.

The Nightingale Awards Committee is currently seeking nominations for exceptional nurses throughout the state of Michigan. The nomination period is now open and runs through January 31, 2025.

With 10 different nursing award categories, the Nightingale Awards for Nursing Excellence honors the best of the best, from frontline to administrative nurses to nurses that work on top research.

Nurses can be nominated by co-workers, peers, and supervisors in recognition of their superior service and expertise in a variety of categories. There is even a “People’s Choice Award” in which patients, patient’s family and friends can tell their story of how an exceptional nurse impacted their life or the life of their loved one.
